About Me
I was born in the US, but mostly raised in Brazil, Nigeria, Cameroon, and Benin - inspired by vibrant, tropical colors and flavors, warm human interactions, and the interwoven tapestry of cultures and histories.
When I moved back to the US, I studied Cultural Anthropology, Studio Art, and Education. The children and adolescents I've taught over the years have turned out to be some of my best teachers. They remind me to be playful, curious, and present; finding awe in the moments.
When painting, I dive into those moments and see what emerges.
